We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated team at Bryants Road Vet. Our vets and vet nurses are huge animal lovers who treat every animal that comes through our door like they are their own.
Growing up on a farm in the Southern Highlands of NSW – with a dog, cats and plenty of pet goats – it seemed destined that Dr Caroline would end up working with animals.
Caroline has an extensive research background, obtaining a PhD in animal (skin) cancer research before studying to become a vet.
She spent much of her veterinary career working in large referral hospitals. This included a rotating internship at Queensland Veterinary Specialists and the Pet Emergency Hospital before working at the University of Queensland’s emergency vet clinic and then the Animal Referral Hospital. She also spent time working at the RSCPA as an animal trainer and in the vet clinic.
So, there’s not much Caroline hasn’t come across when it comes to pets and their health issues!
Caroline purchased Bryants Road Vet in July 2022. She is committed to providing professional, personalised care for all pets, and helping to improve the lives of the clinic’s patients and their families.
Caroline has a particular interest in behavioural medicine and has undertaken further training in this area. When not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family (including Hemsworth the cat), yog and gardening.
Dr. Brooke graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours). Her passion for veterinary medicine is broad, with special interests in internal medicine, dermatology, endocrinology, nutrition, behaviour, and integrative therapies such as Chinese medicine, naturopathy, and acupuncture.
Brooke’s love for animals started early. After high school, she pursued her fascination with the ocean, completing degrees in Marine Biology and Psychology before working as a Marine Mammal Trainer. While the role was extraordinary, it sparked a deeper calling—to make a lasting difference in the lives of all animals. That desire led her back to university to study Veterinary Science, a decision she describes as the best she’s ever made.
Today, Brooke is living her dream as a veterinarian, providing compassionate, comprehensive care for every patient she meets. She blends traditional veterinary medicine with evidence-based alternative therapies, focusing on treating the whole animal rather than just the symptoms. This holistic approach is one she also applies to her own family and believes every pet deserves.
Outside the clinic, Brooke is happiest in the great outdoors. She loves camping, fishing, surfing, trail running, and hiking with her partner, their two boys, and their dogs, Whisky and Reya. At home, her cat Henry takes his role as “house supervisor” seriously, preferring to relax and keep everything in order while the rest of the family adventurers.
Dr Anna graduated from the University of Queensland in 1995, and has worked in many different veterinary practices including small animal work in the UK, shelter and rescue work in Borneo and India, and family practice here in Queensland.
She loves looking after people’s furry family members and has a passion for providing the best possible care in a kind, compassionate and gentle manner. She has also trained in veterinary acupuncture and can offer this service for patients who might benefit from this treatment.
Anna lives with her husband, daughter, and a giant fluffy ginger cat named Kevin. When not chilling at home with her family, she can be found out and about trail running, riding her bike, or planning the next adventure.
You can book Dr Anna from Mondays to Wednesdays each week.
A woman of many talents, Cheryl is our clinic’s receptionist. She worked as a vet nurse for the past 12 years but now spends her time helping to make sure the clinic runs smoothly.
Growing up in Sydney, Cheryl’s first job was as a professional dancer. She then spent time working in pubs and as a distribution manager before changing careers to vet nursing.
Her favourite part of working at Bryants Road Vet? Meeting the patients and knowing that she’s helping to keep them happy and healthy. Being the first person our furred patients see when they enter our clinic, she works hard to make them (and their owners) feel at ease.
Cheryl is particularly fond of wiry, scruffy dogs, with her first dog after leaving home being an Australian Terrier Cross. She now has a Wolfhound (crossed with something no-one is quite sure of!) called Eartha whose favourite thing – other than eating – is to run on the beach.
Pam is a vet nurse at Bryants Road Vet and a long-time Loganholme local. With her childhood home in Loganholme always full of pets, from cats, dogs and birds to horses, chickens , fish and guinea pigs, it’s little wonder Pam has had a passion for animals for as long as she can remember.
Pam has been part of the Bryants Road Vet team since December 2023, and has really enjoyed making meaningful connections with our lovely clients, and being able to share knowledge to help improve their pet’s lives.
She loves showering our patients with lots of love, pats and treats when they come visit.
In addition to her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, Pam has completed a number of additional courses to bolster her skills, including Stress Free Pets Certification, a Feliway Cat Handling Program and multiple nursing skills workshops.
When she’s not at work, Pam loves to stay active – at the gym, walking her Kelpie X dog Humphrey, or playing at the park with her toddler.
Casey is a fully qualified vet nurse. A local Brisbane girl, Casey worked in automotive retail for 11 years before becoming a vet nurse. She has a massive soft spot for Dachshunds, and now has two of them as pets – the aptly named Kransky and Klaus.
Casey loves getting to know all the patients that come into the clinic and finds the most rewarding part of the job seeing patients recover and go home with their families after their stay at the clinic.
Stephanie is one of our gentle natured and talented vet nurses who joined us in July 2024. Stephanie excels in all vet nursing roles, with a particular passion for surgeries. She is a caring staff member who adores being a part of our close-knit team.
Growing up in Brisbane, Stephanie’s first job was as a kennel hand at Hanrob. Stephanie is a fully qualified vet nurse who first completed her Certificate III in animal studies at Dreamworld, and then her Certificate VI through TAFE and Stress-Free qualifications.
Her favorite part of working at Bryants Road Vet? All aspects of helping animals, especially helping them settle in by providing treats.
Stephanie grew up with a Hungarian Viszla named Dasher and Sunny the Ragdoll cat. She recently rescued a mischievous kitten called Astro. But she is particularly fond of Australian Shepards and Border Collies.
Originally from Pietermaritzburg, a charming town in South Africa, Sarah has always had a deep-rooted love for animals. That passion began in childhood and has guided her path ever since. Her first experiences in animal care began during high school, when she worked at a veterinary clinic across the road from her home – after a brief stint as a waitress. Since then, her career has taken her through teaching high school Biology and Mathematics, as well as instructing dance in ballet, tap, and modern styles.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching. She is also certified in Fear Free and Stress Free animal handling, ensuring that every pet in her care is treated with the utmost gentleness and compassion.
After joining Bryants Road Veterinary Surgery just two months ago, Sarah has already found a place where she feels she can truly thrive. She values the supportive culture and team environment, which allow her to bring her best self to work each day without fear of burnout. Her professional interests lie in dentistry, surgery, and hospital-based care, and she finds the most rewarding part of her job is knowing she’s made a meaningful difference in a pet’s life.
At home, Sarah shares her life with two energetic companions: Little Foot, a spirited young Rottweiler, and Miss Piggy, a lively Staffy affectionately described as a “pocket rocket.” Her love for animals—especially cats, which she describes as “wonderful, magical creatures”—continues to inspire her every day.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys peaceful pastimes like reading, tackling puzzles, and walking in nature. Her calm, confident approach and experience-driven handling help put even the most anxious pets at ease during their appointments.
Summer is a Certificate III vet nurse student on placement in our clinic one day a week. When she isn’t busy helping your pets and studying, she loves spending time with her horses.
