Bryants Road Vet – Personalised, professional care for your pets

Services

We offer a full range of veterinary services for your pet, for all stages of their life.

At Bryants Road Veterinary Surgery, we offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your pet healthy and happy. Whether it’s routine check-ups, vaccinations, or more complex medical care, our experienced team is here to provide the best possible treatment.

With a focus on personalised care, we take the time to get to know your pet, ensuring that every visit is tailored to their unique needs.

Preventative health care

Preventative care is the best way to keep your pet happy and healthy. Even if you think your cat or dog is in perfect health, regular health checks are still essential. Check-ups provide our vets with the opportunity to thoroughly examine your animal and detect the beginnings of any health issues that could become serious – and potentially very costly – if left untreated.

Our preventative care health check consultations are 20 minutes long, so you’ll never feel rushed. This gives our vets ample time to get to know you and your pet, conduct a thorough assessment, and discuss any concerns or questions. Annual check-ups are recommended for most cats, dogs and pocket pets, however animals with certain health conditions and older pets may require more frequent appointments.20

Vaccinations

Vaccinating your cat or dog is a key component of their preventative health care – and is one of the easiest ways you can prevent them from becoming ill. Your pet will also receive a full health check at the time of vaccination. Kittens and puppies require three vaccinations in the first six months of their lives, before moving to an annual vaccination schedule to maintain immunity.

Please call the clinic on 07 3801 1744 if you have any questions regarding your cat’s vaccinations.

Dental care

The health of your pet’s teeth and gums can have a significant impact on their overall health. 80% of cats and dogs over the age of three have some degree of dental disease, so it’s important to look after your pet’s dental health. At Bryants Road Vet we include a comprehensive dental assessment as part of your pet’s health check to detect any signs of dental issues or gum disease. We also offer professional dental cleans and teeth extractions.

Desexing & other surgeries

Our vet clinic is fully equipped to undertake routine surgeries in-house. Our experienced vets regularly perform many types of surgeries, including:

Behavioural Consultations

Bryants Road Vet owner Dr Caroline has a special interest in animal behaviour and has undertaken further education to advance her knowledge in this area. Behavioural consultations can help address a wide range of issues, including aggressive behaviour, excessive barking, anxiety, phobias, destructive behaviour or eating unusual substances.

Our Facilities

The Bryants Road Vet surgery has an extensive range of equipment and facilities to support the diagnosis and treatment of your dog, cat or pocket pet. Our clinic boasts the latest in diagnostic tools, including an in-house laboratory, X-ray, ultrasound and fully stocked pharmacy.

Veterinary Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a gentle, time-tested therapy that we use alongside conventional veterinary care to help pets feel better and heal naturally. Very fine needles are placed at specific points on the body to stimulate the nervous system, improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and release natural pain-relieving chemicals.

Many pets relax during treatment – some even fall asleep – and most accept acupuncture calmly once they’re used to it.
We may recommend acupuncture to support conditions such as:

Acupuncture is safe when performed by a qualified veterinarian and can be tailored to your pet’s individual needs. Whether used on its own or alongside medications, it can greatly improve quality of life – especially for older pets or those with ongoing health challenges.

Puppy Preschool

Bringing a new puppy into your family is an exciting milestone, but it can also feel a little overwhelming at times—for both you and your pup—as you find your way through the early stages of puppyhood.

Our Puppy School, run by Crazy Critterz, is here to guide you with:

Classes run over 5 weeks, with the first week being pup-free. This session is all about understanding how dogs learn, introducing our positive reinforcement training methods, setting up homework, and collecting your bonus enrichment pack.

To keep things calm and supportive, we limit each class to 4–6 puppies.

Children are more than welcome to attend alongside their parents and join in on the training too!

Cost: $220 for the 5-week course (GST included).

Visit Crazy Critterz Toy Box for more info.
